Khone Island is situated in a south end of Lao PDR, where November to February
are the most pleasant  month to travel in a lowland of Laos. Daytime temperatures are agreeably warm and evening are find. In May, temperature begin to climb and reaching a peak in April when it baking-hot and humid.

                        The rain will begin later than others parts and will start at the end of May until September. Anyway, rainy
doesn't cause too much problem to travel to Khone Island due to a good condition national road from Pakse City direct to Ban Nakasang where you can take a long tail boat to Khone Island, but please keep in mind that a road condition in Villages at Khone Island may be caused inconveniences for you to go to the Tourist Sites. On the other hand, Mekong River which may be too low to transport during the dry season become important transport routes after the rain have caused water level to rise and in the same time the forest become green and many kind of Mekong Fishes are awaiting to taste.
