French Residence

          Built in 1921 by "Les Messageries Maritimes" as their timber trading head quater. This classic French Colonial single storey bricked mansion has been good used for various local authorities ans as the first auberge Sala Done Khone in 1995.
          The building had been selected as the Provincial Architectural Heritage and renovated into three stylist French Suites with high ceiling, arched wall and columns to divide main bedroom and living area. Colonial pattern floor tiles, four post king size bed ceiling fan and line washed wall and private balcony making up the charming decor.
Extension was added to the eastern end of the building to provide another three spacious Suites with the same ambience and facilities.

 

Ban Lao

           Three Lao bangalows built in 1995 in the spirit of Lao Colonial style with twin roof of ferra cotta tiles and wood shingles, timber walls and set above the ground on timber posts and bricked columns.
           Latice wall panels are painted in the local vibrant colour which trigger the exotic mood of the islands.
Each room is fairly large with separate bathroom and balcony. Lime washed walls, bamboo paneled ceiling, hardwood flooring and rattan arnchairs all provide you with comfort and sooth you with the colonial ambience.



Sala Phae

           These floating bangalows are carefully built with grass thatched roof, bamboo wall panelling and hardwood flooring to provide eight spacious rooms with separate bathroom and balcony.
           Its simplicity make you in touch with the nature... laying down on the timber floor, sitting on the rattan chairs watching the sunset, feet on the mekong or simply jump into is and float along the river.
